Who we are

We are the Sisters of St Paul, a missionary Congregation founded in 1696 by Father Louis Chauvet, Parish Priest of Levesville-la-Chenard, a village in Beauce (France). Our mission, inspired by the love of Christ, consists of manifesting his tenderness and kindness towards all.

Throughout our history, from our humble beginnings to our current mission, we perceive the presence of the Holy Spirit. Guided by the evangelical values of Saint Paul, we seek to respond to the call of the Lord and to be living witnesses of the Gospel.

Faithful to the Word of the Gospel, we strive to be witnesses of Christ's love to others. As Benedict XVI emphasized in his message to young people on September 12, 2008, " from the Source of love that is the Eucharist, we receive the joyful determination to dedicate our lives to following the Gospel ."

Founded on communion with Christ and fraternity among us, our international community bears witness to the joy of intercultural fraternal life.

Consecrated to God by vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, we abandon ourselves to His will, free to love universally and engage in His mission, while living in community.
